## Features & Timeline
### 2023 Q1

* Deploy SAP instances on your own cloud provider account: Compatible with GCP, AWS, & Azure.
    * Use your infrastructure, apply your existing security measures and maintain ownership of your data. Facilitates your GDPR or other regulatory compliance to protect customers' personal information.
    * More flexibility for VM configuration. Customize the VMs running your SAP instances to optimize for your needs.
    * Leverage your existing VPN infrastructure for secure access to your SAP instances.
* SAP Instance Management: Easily manage and control various features of an SAP instance.
    * Backup: Complete confidence that essential data on an SAP instance is saved. Backups also facilitate starting an SAP instance from a known point for development, demo, or testing purposes.
    * Refresh: Reset an instance to the original backup state. Think of it as edit/undo for SAP development, configuration, and testing.
    * Restart: Need to update a system parameter? Sometimes a restart is all you need.
    * Pause: When you need to save progress but want to manage your hosting fees.
* GitHub Runner: Automated testing is a must-have for complex enterprise applications. The Nuve team can help you set up a GitHub runner to run workflows.
* Data-sliced SAP images: The Nuve team can help create images using a subset of data from your production environment. Requires third-party software.

### 2023 Q2

* Self-service image setup: Quickly create and customize images that run on Nuve Platform. An image serves as a template that you can use to create as many identical instances as you want. This feature can be helpful if you want to set up many images with different configurations quickly.
* Infrastructure as Code: Use a development approach to automate infrastructure requirements and configure instances.
    * Use JSON to define any infrastructure requirements or configuration. Add visibility to your infrastructure and save time by not having to perform any manual, repetitive tasks.
    * Define instance sizes, including vCPUs, memory, and disk space. Save money and the environment by appropriately sizing instances.
    * Define the region where you want to provision SAP instances. Optimize for latency, costs, or available resources.
    * Easily create users. Define specific roles and avoid the need to create individual users manually.
    * Select repositories to clone, pull, or define a specific branch. Avoid the need to add repositories, including dependencies, manually.
    * Effortlessly update expired licenses. Ensure that systems are always accessible and not blocked by a license check.
    * Automate adding or renewing certificates. Avoid yet another unnecessary manual task.
    * Define exposed ports. Keep your systems secure and only enable ports that are needed.
* Built-in VPN access: You can easily enable access to instances over our secure VPN.
* Streamline transport synchronization: We highly recommend [abapGit](https://abapgit.org/), but sometimes you need to work with SAP transports. Easily import/export transports to simplify project management.

### 2023 Q3

* Self-service GitHub Runner: Automate repetitive tasks and integrate them directly on GitHub. Test your SAP developments on multiple environments to improve the speed and reliability of your software development. (Currently available with a manual setup.)
* Self-service SAP Cloud Connector: Easily connect your SAP BTP applications to your SAP instances on Nuve Platform. (Currently available with a manual setup.)
* Powerful and intuitive admin functionality: Maximize the performance and utilization of Nuve Platform with comprehensive admin functionality.
    * Configure schedules for SAP instances
    * Single sign-on for SAP instances
    * Automated creation of data-sliced SAP images. Requires third-party software.

### 2023 Q4

* Advanced analytics. Utilize powerful data analysis to gain a deeper understanding of your team's performance. Leverage the insights to drive strategic decisions for your organization.
    * Delivery lead time: the time it takes for a feature to make it from the first line of code to production
    * Deployment frequency: the number of deploys to production
    * Time to restore service: the time it takes to correct an issue in production
    * Change rate fail: the percentage of deploys that cause production issues
* Integration with IT management tools e.g., ServiceNow, Jira, etc.
